BPR Media’s 250th Anniversary Project: “Time for a Change”

As Brown University celebrates its 250th Anniversary, BPR Media has produced a short documentary on the 1968 black student walkout and the 1975 University Hall takeover; movements which mobilized hundreds of students to take action against the Administration’s disregard for the interests of minorities. Through firsthand accounts of student leaders at the time, the piece reflects on Brown’s history of political activism and the significant role of the student body in motivating positive change.
